The extraordinary support the government announced in January to help families through the cold snap fell short of the proposal by energy regulatory entity ERSE. In a report delivered to the government on January 11 (but only made public now) ERSE suggests the ‘execution of the measure’ covered less families than ERSE had wanted it to.
