In light of the new restrictions brought in by yesterday’s Council of Ministers (click here), minister of work Ana Mendes Godinho has stressed that government support for businesses in the sectors of culture and tourism will be continued through July and August. Right now 18,000 businesses (involving 130,000 workers) are benefiting from this support which is geared to companies that can show falls in income of 75% or over. Support is also being continued for independent workers in the same sectors, as well as for company bosses.
