BRAZIL’S LABOUR Ministry has come under criticism for advising prostitutes on its website that they should be prepared to perform fantasies and seduce with affectionate nicknames.
The government said that the advice was to promote prostitutes’ rights, as the activity is legal in Brazil.
A spokesman for the ministry said: “The information was created with the help of non-government organisations and the prostitutes themselves.”
But after criticism, the spokesman confirmed that the language and some of the explicit tips on the site would be re-written before the year is out.
