A programme developed to encourage controlled emigration of Portuguese workers is currently being analysed by the government.
The project aims to send 100,000 Portuguese people abroad on temporary job assignments, as part of a ‘controlled emigration’ project.
Joaquim Adegas, president of the Portuguese Association of Companies in the Private Labour Market (APESPE), is responsible for the programme, which is expected to ensure a permanent economic link between the workers sent abroad and Portugal.
