A South African gospel choir will be paying tribute to Nelson Mandela with a special concert this Thursday (June 11) at Pavilhão Arade in Parchal, starting at 9.30pm.
The Exaltation Gospel Choir was founded in 1983 at a time when the apartheid racial segregation system was still at full throttle. It has since become one of the country’s most popular choirs.
Tickets cost between €20 and €25 and can be purchased online at ticketline.pt or at Lagoa’s municipal auditorium and São José convent.
