The Portuguese off-road championship season roared into action with the Baja Carmin rally in Tavira last weekend.

Astra Porto driver Nuno Matos and navigator Filipe Serra finished second behind Christian Lavieille but lead the national standings after this first stage as the victorious Frenchman was racing out of competition.
