I absolutely love the initiative by Loulé Câmara to tidy up the council’s rural areas by encouraging residents to install new house name signs.
From the picture you published in last week’s edition, the roadside turn-offs really look a mess with all those confusing signs of all sizes and shapes (pictured). I see this a lot in my area. You can’t tell what is written on the signs most of the time and this surely does not help the GNR.
I live in the countryside in the Faro council and I will be recommending that our Mayor (whoever he is now!) follows this scheme as well.
I bet he won’t as it is a Loulé idea!
