The Civil Court of Lisbon has ordered that all profits Gonçalo Amaral made from his book about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann should be seized.
The Truth of the Lie was an account of the police detectives views of what happened on the night she disappeared.
After initially working on the case, Gonçalo Amaral was later removed after he criticised British authorities.
Gerry and Kate have already been successful in having the book, which claimed that Madeleine is dead and questioned Kate and Gerry’s account, banned from further publication and further sales.
It was reported last month, in the Daily Mirror, that Gonçalo Amaral had written a new book, The English Gag, which reportedly claims the importance of a missing pink blanket belonging to Madeleine that disappeared on the same night.
