SATURDAY, JUNE 2 will see the first International Chambers of Commerce Golf Tournament being held at the Morgado dos Reguengos Golf Course in Alvor, Algarve.
The British Council is promoting this tournament which will start on June 2 at 8am. The initiative has been organised to facilitate Luso-British, Luso-Japanese and Luso-South African relations in pleasant, relaxed surroundings.
Handicaps required to play in the tournament are as follows;
Stableford Individual
Handicap: Full Handicap with a limit of 28 p/gentlemen and 36 p/ladies.
Categories:
Category 1 – Handicap 0 to 18
Category 2 – Handicap 19 to 28/36
Prizes will be given to 1º, 2º and 3º Net in the two categories, to the Longest Drive (gentlemen and ladies) and to the Nearest-The-Pin.
Everyone is welcome to come to the event and after the tournament there will be a lunch in the club house followed by trophy awards. Prizes may also be won from the tombola.
For those who do not normally play golf, there is an alternative Golf Clinic where the sport will be taught.
The event is sponsored by Banif Bank, Newlyn Portugal and supported by many companies and hotels.
Prices range from 68€ for the tournament with lunch, 48€ for the Golf Clinic with lunch and 28€ for the lunch only. A cheque may be issued to Câmara de Comércio Luso Britânica until May 29.
