THE ALGARVE Tourist Board (RTA) has announced that the first Golf Congress to debate the future of golf in Portugal and the Algarve will be held between September 29 and October 1 at the University of the Algarve. Members of the Commission of Co-ordination and Regional Development of the Algarve, the Portuguese Golf Federation and the Algarve Golf Association proposed the congress so that all relevant bodies could discuss the sustainable development of the sport.
