Helping out the local firefighting forces with much-needed funding is the goal of a charity golf competition and barbecue scheduled for July 18 at the golf course of organisers Espiche Golf.
The tournament, which kicks off at 10am, will be played in a ‘4-ball Texas Scramble’ format with a ‘shotgun start’ – in which all groups of players tee off simultaneously from different holes.
After the competition, participants will be invited to enjoy a barbecue lunch.
The menu includes chicken piri-piri, sausages, pork ribs and pancetta – all served with salad, mixed vegetables and roasted rosemary potatoes.
Participation in the event costs €65, and will cover the donation, the barbecue lunch, the green fee and the rental of a buggy.
