An open day for visitors to come and visit the remaining animals still at Goldra will be held tomorrow (Saturday) between 10am and 2pm.
The Goldra animal shelter is due to close permanently on March 31 and volunteers at the shelter are still trying to find homes for the last few dogs and cats at the shelter.
Verna Kinder from Goldra told the Algarve Resident: “I am delighted to say that Basil and Salsa, two adorable kittens, have been adopted since the article in the Algarve Resident (edition January 21) but will still have 22 dogs and many cats remaining.”
She added: “We are asking visitors to come and see for themselves what characters the animals are during the open day and for people to see if one of them could fit into their life.”
