The weekend of May 20, 21 and 22 will see the first ever Portimão Classics festival at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA).

The unique event will feature Formula Ford and Opel Vauxhall races not seen competing in Portugal for 20 years as well as three different Italian ‘Superstars’ series competitions including the Ferrari Challenge.

The debut Portimão edition is expected to be attended by over 30,000 spectators and boasts 50 classic cars and their drivers over the three-day action packed programme.

Beginning with free practice on the Friday, the festival reaches its climax on Sunday with the finals in various categories as well as the mid-afternoon showcase Portimão Classics parades.

The weekend represents a great addition to an already diverse and varied offering at the international race track and should make for some fascinating days out for all the family and serious classic car enthusiasts alike – don’t miss it!
