Prior to last Sunday’s game, Portimonense’s Fouhami had already secured a place in the club’s record books. Since conceding a solitary goal in Gondomar at the beginning of the current campaign, the Morocco ‘keeper has kept a clean sheet for 538 minutes surpassing Vital’s 1985/86 best mark of 511. Fouhami, who only arrived in the Algarve in September, is currently enjoying his second Portuguese experience following a spell with Academica and is hoping to reclaim his place in Morocco’s national side in time for next year’s African Championships in Egypt.

In the III division serie F, Almacnilense’s 34-year-old ‘keeper, Feijão, is doing even better. He has remained unbeaten in all of the six games played so far this season making him the only goalie in the Portuguese leagues not to have conceded a goal this season. Feijão accepts that his run will come to an end sooner or later but hopes that his team will leave the pitch the winners when it does – his wish was granted as his run was ended by Castrense last Sunday. He was beaten twice, but Almancilense still celebrated a 3-2 victory!
