For the fourth year running, the Algarve Oncology Association is organising a Solidarity Human Ribbon on Saturday, August 17, in Praia da Rocha.
From 10am, participants will form a pink ribbon on the beach to help raise awareness of breast and skin cancer, followed by a fitness class and the opportunity to win various prizes.
Again hoping to bring together 1,000 people, the event aims to raise funds to build the Casa Flor das Dunas in Faro, a residential home for cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy.
Registration costs €2 and can be made up to August 16 at Continente Portimão, Barlavento hospital and at Praia da Rocha’s sports area.
