Safe Communities Algarve and GNR Faro will be holding a crime prevention seminar at São Bras Museum on Thursday, July 5 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
The event has been organised by David Thomas, founder of Safe Communities Algarve, following the success of an earlier presentation held in conjunction with the British Consulate in March and in response to many recent enquiries from residents concerning crime prevention matters.
The welcome participation of the GNR Faro will allow for a first-hand overview of the Safe Residence Programme as well as opportunities for residents to learn about how to join the programme. This will also provide a unique opportunity for questions on crime prevention and policing in the Algarve. The presentation will be held in English, although Portuguese is available if necessary.
David Thomas said: “This is the first joint public seminar between Safe Communities Algarve and the GNR and we hope that it will be successful in promoting safer communities, enhancing security awareness and reducing the risk of becoming a victim of crime.”
There is no entry fee and all members of the public are welcome to attend.
