Thirteen drivers were arrested in the Algarve by the GNR police in an operation involving more than 100 officers during the early morning of September 12.
Ten were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, with rates of alcohol between 1.26 and 2.64 grammes per litre of blood. The others were arrested for driving without a licence.
In a simultaneous operation, GNR police also visited twelve nightlife establishments where 14 infringements were found and two Brazilian women questioned and ordered to appear before the immigration and border control authority (SEF).
