A 36-year-old man has been arrested for drug trafficking after police found three indoor cannabis greenhouses at his home in São Bartolomeu de Messines, Silves.
In a statement to the press, GNR police say that their investigation into this case had been ongoing for two months.
Their investigation culminated with a house search on Tuesday, April 18 which led to the confiscation of 30 cannabis plants, 1,015 kilos of cannabis buds, 139 vases with cannabis plants in early stages of growth, three greenhouses and other equipment used to prepare the drugs.
The man, who has a history of similar crimes, was due to appear before a judge.
