GNR police will be deploying 4,500 officers to keep the roads safer during Easter weekend (April 2-5).
Involving random stops, ‘Operação Páscoa’ will mostly focus on people driving without a licence or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Due to the increase in road traffic during the Easter season, the GNR are advising drivers to “slow down” and pay special attention near pedestrian crossings.
