Global study reveals “facts” about women

ACCORDING TO the largest worldwide study of women ever undertaken, around 80 per cent of Portuguese women, aged between 15 and 24, say they “feel fat and old”.

Avon Women’s Global Study interviewed 20,000 women in 22 countries and concluded that retail therapy was what gave ladies the most pleasure. Fifty-five per cent of Portuguese women cited clothes shopping as their favourite pick-me-up, followed by having their hair styled and eating out.

In Portugal, 95 per cent of women said they wouldn’t undergo plastic surgery due to the high costs it involved (42 per cent), simply because they weren’t interested (35 per cent) or because it was risky (28 per cent).
