Barreiro based Sílvia Ventura recently retained the women’s title at the National Paragliding Championship 2004, held at Torre de Moncorvo. Ventura also beat the current national distance record for women at the event, which was staged as part of the III Open Internacional de Parapente do Douro Superior. Eduardo Lagoa won the men’s title.
