A 41-year-old man was taken into custody by the Faro PJ recently, after being accused of sexually abusing his partner’s under-age daughter. The girl, who is said to be less than 13 years of age, lived with her mother and stepfather in the Salgados area.
The girl, who ran to a neighbour for help, was quickly taken to the police station to give a statement, and later sent to Faro Hospital to undergo tests. As well as being accused of sexual abuse, the girl’s stepfather is also suspected of showing her pornographic images and films from his mobile telephone.
