A fishing trawler in Coruña, Spain, caught a giant squid weighing 54 kilos and measuring 103 centimetres in length.
The Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO) confirmed its capture in a press release. Although the data about this kind of squid is “scarce”, according to the IEO, it is known that this species lives in tropical and temperate locations.
