Giant dominos in Berlin

Berliners are planning to topple a chain of giant dominos along the path that used to be the Berlin wall to commemorate 20 years since the fall of the wall.

Each domino will stand more than 2.5 metres in height and will be one metre wide and the assembly of the impressive chain is due to start this week.

The dominos will be decorated by local Berliners and also by people from overseas to mark the occasion and make it a global event.

“We want to knock over the wall once again,” said Klaus Wowereit, the mayor of Berlin.
