A German tourist had to be rescued as he took part in a surf lesson yesterday on Tonel beach, Sagres. Initial reports point to the man suffering from “a sudden illness”. He was rescued from the sea by lifeguards and taken to hospital by local firemen. Maritime police coordinated operations.
