“Lost in Fuseta’ will air this weekend
German TV miniseries “Lost in Fuseta,” directed by Florian Baxmeyer and filmed in the Algarve, will premiere next weekend on RTP2.
The miniseries consists of two episodes and is inspired by the novel of the same name by German writer Holger Karsten Schmidt, who uses the pseudonym Gil Ribeiro.
The miniseries features Leander Lost, “an exceptional and autistic inspector,” who is “transferred to the small fishing village of Fuseta in the Algarve” as part of a European exchange program.
There, along with detectives Graciana Rosado and Carlos Esteves, he investigates “the murder of a private detective,” according to the RTP synopsis.
“Lost in Fuseta,” which will be aired on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm and will also be available on RTP Play, stars actor Jan Krauter. The cast also includes several Portuguese actors, such as Filipa Areosa, Adriano Carvalho, and José Fidalgo.
This German production received financial support from the Tourism and Cinema Support Fund earlier this year to produce two additional episodes, with a total funding of €594,000.
