A German man was found dead on the walkway to Monte Gordo beach on September 14.
Rocha Pacheco, the port commander in Vila Real de Santo António, told Portuguese daily newspaper Correio da Manhã (CM): “A fisherman found the man next to a dog, which was also dead, and a gun at about 7am.”
PJ police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
The Algarve Resident was told by the PJ that details about the case could not released until the investigation is concluded.
