German artist Kerstin Wagner unveils new exhibition in Lagos

German artist Kerstin Wagner will inaugurate a new exhibition of her paintings called ‘Spaces in Between, Movement and Stillness’ at the Lagos Cultural Centre on Saturday, January 25 at 5.30pm.

The exhibition, which will be on display until April 18, can be visited Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Admission is free.

Kerstin Wagner was born in 1963 near Cologne, Germany. She graduated in 1987 in Fine Arts – Painting and in 1989 in Art in Social Development at the Alanus Art Academy in Bonn/Alfter, Germany. She is a member of the International Association of Art and has been exhibiting her works since 1987, mainly in Germany and Portugal, but also in Sweden, Switzerland and even in Goa, India.

According to her website, Kerstin’s art is “based on the philosophy of complementary principles, movement against stillness, calm against chaos, darkness against light. The paintings emerge from the creative tension between dynamic expression and quiet meditation”.
