Katie Price is well known for her frank, direct views and I admire her no-nonsense approach to life.
Her reality TV show ‘What Katie Did Next’ is now in its second series due to such high demand. You either love her or you hate her – I do like her, most of all for her role as a mother.
I know Dwight Yorke from my party days as we all socialised at the same clubs, and I know it was hard for her when he decided to have nothing to do with Harvey, especially as he was so sick when he was born – it’s hard enough with a healthy baby as any mother can relate to!
Katie and I were, for a brief time, with the same management, Can Associates, until I decided that it wasn’t the life for me and managed to get out of a three-year contract after only six months. I met Katie a few times as we shared the same hair and make-up artist, Gary Cockerill. She is a lovely person, not a diva like many I have met over the years.
St Patrick’s Day is held annually on March 17, named after saint Patrick, a patron of Ireland. It’s a celebration of Ireland’s culture but nowadays is an excuse to party, renowned for Guinness drinking with an estimated 13 million pints being consumed on the day worldwide. Even McDonald’s sell a ‘Shamrock Shake’ during the month of March! I was invited to a lunch at koko lane, the new bistro in Quinta do Lago, and was treated to champagne and oysters among other culinary delights and, of course, the traditional pint of Guinness!
