PREPARE FOR a delectable seafood experience in Tavira as the borough hosts its third Gastronomy from the Sea Festival, continuing until May 21. As well as the opportunity to taste the freshest octopus, scallops and tuna, there will also be the chance to savour some traditional Algarvean desserts including tarts made with Carob and Almond.
The following restaurants will take part in this year’s festival: Baixamar (Santa Luzia), Bica (Tavira), Brisa do Rio (Tavira), Cabanas Park (Aparthotel Cabanas Park – Cabanas), Casa do Abade (Santa Luzia), Casa do Polvo (Santa Luzia), Churrasqueira do Livramento (Luz de Tavira), Inevitável (Hotel Vila Galé Albacora, Tavira), Panorâmico (Hotel Porta Nova, Tavira) and Vincent (Santa Luzia).
At the end of the festival a raffle will be held to win a weekend “by the sea” in one of the following hotels: Cabanas Park Resort, Golden Club (Cabanas), Residencial Marés, Hotel Porta Nova, Aldeamento Quinta do Morgado, Vila Galé Albacora, Vila Galé Tavira (Tavira) and Moradias Turísticas Pedras D’El Rei (Santa Luzia).
