Garvetur and Visacar, two companies belonging to the Garvetur/Enolagest Group, have joined the battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
Visacar, a car hire company, is providing cars to help the regional health administration ARS Algarve offer home support to patients.
“As a company, we have a social responsibility and a role to play in the fight against the spread of Covid-19,” said Visacar CEO Honório Teixeira.
Meantime, Garvetur is offering free rooms at the Rio apartments in Vilamoura to health professionals working in the Algarve and in need of someplace to rest.
Reinaldo Teixeira, CEO Garvetur/Enolagest Group, said the group is willing to “extend this offer” to other entities that travel to the Algarve to help fight this outbreak.
“The social responsibility which has always guided us is now joined by the civic duty of all of us to help the efforts to mitigate the pandemic,” he said.
He also guaranteed that all workers are following the recommendations from the national health board (DGS). “Our main concern is the health and wellbeing of our clients and workers,” he said.
