LISBON CÂMARA is to plant 140 trees and shrubs in the gardens surrounding the Campo Pequeno bullring, which was restored and reopened last year.
The Câmara is to redesign the pedestrian pathways and reseed the grassed areas, according to the Campo Pequeno urban renovation society, Sociedade de Renovação Urbana do Campo Pequeno (SRUCP). “We are in the last phase of selecting the landscape company that will carry out the work, which should begin later this month,” said SRUCP vice-president, Gois Ferreira. The work is expected to last a maximum of four months and around 800,000 euros has been set aside for the project.
