Goldra Dog Sanctuary and SteriliseOurStrays (SOS) have joined forces to organise a charity gala dinner on Saturday, February 18 at the Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa, at 7pm.
The aim is to raise enough funds to allow the two charities to continue much-needed work in aid of animals in the Algarve.
Goldra Dog Sanctuary offers shelter to mostly un-rehomeable dogs. Currently, there are approximately 80 dogs under their care, ranging in age from four-week-old puppies to 14-year-old seniors.
SteriliseOurStrays’ main objective is to help with sterilisation of cats and dogs in the Algarve. In 2022, an amazing number of 1,431 animals came into SteriliseOurStrays for sterilisation, and for other help there were 1,192 cats, 164 dogs, four pigs and three goats.
There will be a raffle and auction during the evening, with organisers still looking for amazing prizes, artwork and vouchers. Those who are able to help should contact the associations.
