Further protests planned over Portugal’s housing crisis

With the government attempting to gain some political capital by announcing this is the week in which 150,000 families start receiving rental support, yet another protest is planned to demand much more effective measures to tackle the housing crisis. Bloco de Esquerda is backing the initiative, which takes to the streets of Lisbon on Thursday evening, stressing the government’s ‘Mais Habitação’ package falls way too short to make any meaningful difference.
