Further earthquakes felt in Azores

Following the 4.1 intensity quake that shook communities on the Azorean islands of on Faial, Pico and São Jorge early yesterday morning, there have now been two more felt principally in Faial, measuring 3.7 and 3.9 respectively. The quakes were registered in the evening, at 8.08pm and 9.50pm – both with similar epicentres west of Capelo (one of the boroughs on the island). CIVISA, the Azores centre for seismovolcanic vigilance and information is “watching the evolution of the situation”. UPDATE: since this report, another earthquake has been registered in the same spot.
