Further doctors strikes on way: Algarve/ Alentejo and Azores

With medical interns striking next week (on August 23 and 24), doctors affiliated with SIM, the Independent Syndicate of Doctors, have also called a strike for August 30 and 31. This latter strike will involve doctors in the Algarve, Alentejo and Azores. The reason? As always – the failure of government to address long-standing issues presented by medical syndicates trying to achieve salary/ career revisions that they believe are sorely overdue.
