BRADLEY QUERL was born in Zimbabwe and moved to London to further his career as a hairdresser, where he worked and studied for three-and-a-half years. He now lives in Portugal, where he has become an established name within the Victor Picardo group.
Heading the newly opened Faro hair salon onRua Don Juan do Castro, Bradley leads a team of dedicated stylists. They are always updating their techniques and learning new style ideas in order to maintain the five-star service their clients have become accustomed to. The Faro salon opened in December 2004 and already has a large clientele, growing by the week.
In the relaxed, friendly, yet professional, atmosphere, you will be given a thorough consultation so that the cut you receive will suit your face and body shape, skin tone, personality, and professional and private lives. “Consultations are the key to a good hair style,” says Bradley. As well as finding out the best look for the client, consultations also offer after-care advice needed to keep locks looking lustrous once you’ve left the salon. Bradley likes to see his customers every two months for a trim or new style. A cut and blow dry lasts 45 minutes, so each year the team only has four-and-a-half hours to keep clients’ hair looking good!
As well as running the salon, Bradley provides a weekly training day for junior employees, so they can gain more practical knowledge to develop their skills and help the stylists in the salon more efficiently.
Having such a passionate and inspirational leader as Victor has helped Bradley to really develop as a hairdresser. As well as being inspired by music and fashion, Bradley has learned a lot from Victor: “He’s constantly helping the industry in Portugal and I love working with him.”
The team in Faro consists of Bradley and two other stylists, a receptionist and two apprentices, but the salon is looking to expand.
