Once again the Escola Internacional São Lourenço in Almancil, is holding its ever-popular annual Christmas Fair on Saturday, November 27, from 11am until 4pm, to raise funds for the new school building fund. Last year’s fair was a great success, raising over 1,800 euros for the fund, and at the same time giving many hundreds of visitors the chance to do some local Christmas shopping and also have a jolly good festive time!
This year, entrance to the event will be by raffle ticket and the winning tickets will be drawn at 3pm. The Resident is once again pleased to be supporting the fair and one of the many raffle prizes will be a year’s subscription to the newspaper. Other raffle prizes will include a day out at Summercamp for all the family, and a free course at the school’s Adult Evening Institute.
There will be a wide range of stalls, selling clothes, gifts, homemade produce, crafts and much more. In addition there will be vegetarian food available, many fun activities and competitions. Clowns and jugglers will keep everyone amused and children will be able to play in the supervised play area and on the bouncy castle. So don’t miss what promises to be a fun-filled event for all the family!
There are still some stall spaces available. The cost of a stall is simply a donation to the school building fund. Any interested stall-holders should contact either the event organiser, Lesley Stephens, on 918 146 065, or the school office on 289 398 328.
