Fun dog show in Aljezur to help AEZA

Aljezur-based animal association AEZA is holding its ‘West Coast Fun Dog Show’ on April 17 (Sunday) at Churrasqueira Mendes in Vale da Telha.

There will be 15 classes to be judged, including “mixed breeds, rescue, pedigree, obedience and agility”.

Rosettes for the first five places in each class will be donated by local businesses.

Also on the agenda is a dog agility demonstration, as well as several stalls selling pet products, handmade crafts, jams, chutneys, jewellery, second-hand clothes and bric-a-brac.

Doors open at 10.30am, with the dog show starting at midday.

There will be food for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, including burgers, salads, chicken wraps and cakes.

To enter, people will be asked to offer a donation to AEZA (Associação Ecologista e Zoófila de Aljezur, or Association for Environment and Animal Protection of Aljezur).
