Fun and frolics in Montechoro

One of the stars of European circus, Jemile, also known as the football magician, visited the Montechoro Fun Park to entertain soccer fans of all ages recently, giving a sneak preview of the new acts the park has in store for visitors when it re-opens to the public soon.

The fun park was taken over at the end of 2003 and workers are beavering away to make sure the park is fully operational in time for this summer. Deirdre O’Kane, marketing manager at the park, explains that a lot of money has been invested in updating the park. “We flew in a company from Holland that specialises in water flumes,” she told us. “And, despite quite a bit of bad weather, we are confident that we will open very soon.”

Once open, the fun park will have no entrance fee, but there will be a small charge for some of the attractions. There are many new plans for the park: as well as the talented Jemile, the fun park will be playing host to world record holding high wire act, Franz, who will be performing throughout the summer.
