The wife of fugitive former banker João Rendeiro has managed to get an extension on the time limit given by the courts to come up with 15 ‘missing’ works of art. The courts have opted finally to ‘seize’ the collection which it ‘apprehended’ back in 2015 but left in situ (click here), following Mr Rendeiro’s decision to leave the country just as he was due to be put in jail.
