Two men were caught red-handed by the GNR police stealing fuel from agricultural machinery in a private property in Baleeira, Tavira.
GNR officers caught the two men, aged 26 and 48, using a hose to extract the fuel from the machinery to their jerrycans. A total of 200 litres of fuel in seven jerrycans were confiscated, as well as the robbers’ vehicle and €36,500 in cash.
The suspects, residents in the Almancil and Quarteira areas, were due to be heard in court.
