Oil companies in Portugal have raised fuel prices between one and 3.5 cents per litre.
The average price of petrol has risen to more than €1.60 a litre, while diesel prices increased to more than €1.40.
The companies justified the move due to an increase in the prices of diesel and petrol in the European market in the last few weeks.
Galp increased petrol prices to €1.609 per litre and diesel rose to €1.409, Cepsa increased petrol to €1.599 and diesel to €1.399, and BP petrol station prices are set to €1.609 for petrol and €1.409 for diesel.
