OVER A six month period, a thief stole 11 vehicles in the city of Yangon, Myanmar, before police finally caught him last week.
It turned out that he did not want the cars at all. He wanted the fuel that was inside them! Due to a severe ration in fuel in the military state of former Burma, he said that he was left with no choice but to steal. Car owners are only allowed to buy 60 gallons of fuel per month and, if they need more, they turn to the black market, where it is almost triple the cost.
