Spain has extended frontier controls with Portugal to April 6, albeit that people with ‘valid reasons’ for travel (work/ health/ force majeur) are being allowed to cross over. Restrictions do not apply to national citizens or legalised foreign residents wishing to enter Portugal, nor do they apply to citizens of other countries wishing to leave, a source for the ministry of interior administration has stressed.
