A treasure trove of affordable clothes, books and bric-a-brac, the Donkey Sanctuary charity shop in Lagoa is a well-loved haunt for those looking for quality bargain products while helping a good cause.
However, the concrete floors, fluorescent lighting and lack of display units have meant that the shop has been far from reaching its full potential.
In true Extreme Makeover style, Joanne and Kim from J and K Stylists are stepping in to help transform the shop into an attractive and workable selling environment for the charity.
But they are going to need help to change the shop from dingy to delightful.
If you have building or design skills, are handy with a paintbrush or simply willing to take on the task of cleaning the premises then the Donkey Sanctuary needs you
As well as man power the makeover will need many materials and organisers are asking for anyone with leftover paintbrushes, tiles or other building materials to donate unwanted items.
If you would like to volunteer or have materials that could be used, please contact Lindsey by calling 936 371 448 or email her at [email protected] by February 12.
