Myspace, the social networking site, has announced their top eight lists for 2008 detailing the most popular musical acts of 2008.
Virtual band Gorillaz were deemed the most popular band, with more than 680,000 friends registered to their MySpace.
At number two was Welsh metal band Bullet for My Valentine, controversial singer Amy Winehouse came in third, Coldplay took the number four spot while loudmouthed Londoner Lily Allen was ranked fifth.
