With its relaxed atmosphere, fresh modern decor and even fresher food, Fresco Cafe e Cozinha is the perfect place to dine this winter.
Owners Veronica and Michael Baker opened their doors in Lagos just six weeks ago and have already built up a reputation for their hearty portions of really tasty food at low costs.
“The whole concept was for our customers to be able to go out regularly, have great food without it costing them a fortune,” Veronica said. “Plus we make all the food on the premises.”
Having worked in catering internationally throughout her life, Veronica’s menu at Fresco Cafe e Cozinha is filled with offerings inspired by her travels in Mexico, Australia, America and Greece, and of course some great British dishes.
Opening at 9am, the cafe offers delicious breakfasts including favourites such as eggs Benedict, pastries or a healthy smoothie of your choice.
Lunchtimes offerings include a tempting dish of the day along with their usual offerings of sandwiches, paninis, baguettes and wraps or, for something warmer in the winter months, there is madras chicken curry, home-made fish and chips and mouth watering burgers which are 100 percent made from beef.
“People are also able to devise their own salads and sandwiches,” she said.
Fresco Cafe e Cozinha offers a tasty Sunday lunch plus glass of wine at just seven euros. “There is always a choice of two meats with all the appropriate trimmings.”
The cafe closes their doors at 4pm but is available for Christmas parties throughout the party season for groups of 10 or more.
