French tourists in Nantes learn about Lagoa

In a bid to attract more tourists, Lagoa took part in the popular Salon International du Tourisme fair held between February 26 and 28 in Nantes, France.

Considered “the largest fair of the Pays de la Loire region”, it was visited by around 34,000 people.

Lagoa’s 40sqm stand promoted “the sun and its beaches” as well as “its golf courses, nature and rural tourism, fantastic gastronomy, selection of walking trails and variety of events”.

Fairgoers were also able to taste Lagoa wines which “surprised the demanding palate of the French, who are used to the high quality of their own wines”, said the council in a statement, adding that the initiative was part of its “2016 strategy to attract more tourists, especially in France where more people are gaining an interest in the Algarve – both to live and to spend holidays during the so-called low season”.
