Prize-winning French pianist Hélène Tysman will give four recitals (including two matinées) next month. The concerts will take place at Os Agostos country estate near Santa Bárbara de Nexe, with reduced seating to comply with government safety regulations.
The Tuesday, November 10 matinée will feature music by Chopin, Bach and Ravel and the evening recital will also add a piece by Debussy. The Thursday, November 12 matinée will feature Chopin’s 24 preludes and the evening concert will include pieces by Chopin, Debussy and Ravel.
These Amigos de Música concerts at Os Agostos will take place in the auditorium.
For the matinée, doors will open at 10am and the concert will begin at 11am. Coffee and biscuits will be available for self-service. For the evening performance, doors will open at 6pm and the concert will begin at 7pm.
There will be wine, fruit juices and canapés available for self-service. Entry donation is €25 per person for guests and non-members payable in advance by bank transfer (see website).
The Amigos de Música is an international group of around 90 members who stage musical activities by internationally renowned musicians and also sponsor young Portuguese musicians. It is a non-profit organisation and is in its 30th year.
Os Agostos is an impressive 18th century country estate located above Santa Bárbara de Nexe and near Bordeira.
